Welcome to my new election website. My goal is post daily tidbits of campaign news and my experiences as I travel about District 6, Stratford-Kinlock.

I must tell you, that I feel so privileged to have this chance to vie for the job of working for the people of Stratford-Kinlock and the people of Prince Edward Island. As I say in my brochure:

“I am fully committed to representing the residents of Stratford-Kinlock on a FULL-TIME basis. By being accessible, I will guarantee that their views and concerns are represented in government decision making.”

Today, our team, led by Robert Ghiz, announced our Tax Fairness Policy.

Here are the highlights:

• A freeze on property taxes and assessments until at least 2010.
• A 4.4 cent decrease in the gasoline tax.
• An increase to the basic personal exemption of $500 in the first year.
• An increase in the provincial disability credit to match the federal level.
