Since my nomination on February 12th there have been 3 more nominations take place. Paula Biggar in District 23, Tyne Valley -Linkletter (pronounced Linklader), Gerard Greenan, District 22, Summerside-St. Eleanors and last night’s nomination for District 27, Tignish-Palmer Road (pronounced Pammer Road), Neil LeClair.

Thanks to Robbie Vessey who drove the Charlottetown area team home last night in the storm. Had to stop at Profit’s Ultramar (PD’s old stomping grounds) to ask directions, after we ceremoniously depended on a memory of having been there before. Wrong turn down a very long dirt road. It was nice to see Wendy Profit again though. The videoes and horeshoes are still there!! Alas…we arrived at the Palmer Road Community Centre on time.

I have met some great people the past few weeks. The Up Westers are a fine crop and much better at putting on a nomination meeting than the rest of us. Summerside and Tignish both had lunches…Tignish winning by a margin on the sweets selection and overall presentation.

Next week is Borden-Kinkora, Charlottetown-Sherwood and Belfast-Murray River. The week after, Souris-Elmira, Kensington-Malpeque and West Royalty-Springvale.
