Well, the nomination meeting went very well. A great turn out! Someone said they thought there was around 150 people there. (I was hoping for 100).
Thank you to John Broderick and his team as well as Wellington Gay, Jordan Brown and Kevin Kiley for all their work with the set up and strike, and helping to get the message out about the meeting.
Thank you also to my friends and family for being there to support me. I ran into my friend, Duncan McIntosh, last night at the UPEI Alumni Dinner and compared my nomination meeting experience to that of opening night. And I do have my ‘opening night’ habits. I pace back and forth rehearsing lines and warming up my vocal chords. I calm myself by breathing deeply and letting out sighs (Chris Ogg heard a few!). Anyways…it works, so I’m sticking to it.
It’s onward from here…
